งานประชุมเบาหวานโลก 2022

งานประชุมเบาหวานโลก (World Diabetes Congress) ซึ่งจัดโดยสมาพันธ์เบาหวานโลก (International Diabetes Federation, IDF) ทุก 2 ปี แต่ด้วยสถานการณ์
การระบาดของโรคโควิด จึงสามารถกลับมาจัดได้ครั้งแรกในรอบ 3 ปี ณ เมือง Lisbon ประเทศโปรตุเกส ระหว่างวันที่ 5-8 ธันวาคม 2565 ทางโรงพยาบาลเทพธารินทร์
ได้รับเชิญเป็นกรรมการเตรียมงานและเป็นผู้บรรยาย โดย ศ.นพ.รัชตะ รัชตะนาวิน ที่ปรึกษาผู้อำนวยการ โรงพยาบาลเทพธารินทร์ รับเชิญเป็นผู้บรรยายใน Open Forum
หัวข้อ “Diabetes Education in Low and Middle Income Countries” โดยได้นำเสนอความสำคัญ ความเป็นมา สถานการณ์ ปัญหา และโอกาสพัฒนา
ของการให้ความรู้เรื่องเบาหวานแก่ประชาชนเพื่อการดูแลตนเองในประเทศที่มีรายได้ระดับต่ำและปานกลาง

นอกจากนี้ ศ.นพ.รัชตะ รัชตะนาวิน ยังได้รับเชิญให้เป็นประธานในห้องสัมมนาหัวข้อ “Qualification and Certification of Diabetes Educators” โดยเรื่องราวของ
โรงพยาบาลเทพธารินทร์ในการร่วมพัฒนาบุคลากรผู้ให้ความรู้โรคเบาหวานในประเทศไทย เป็นส่วนหนึ่งของเรื่องที่นำเสนอโดย ศ.พญ.สิริมนต์ ริ้วตระกูล ประเทืองธรรม
กรรมการสมาคมผู้ให้ความรู้โรคเบาหวาน ในงานสัมมนานี้ด้วย

This year World Diabetes Congress hosted by International Diabetes Federation (IDF) was held in Lisbon, Portugal, during 5-8 December 2022.
Theptarin Hospital was invited to be a part of the program organizing committee, speaker, and session chair.

Prof.Rajata Rajatanavin, MD, advisor to hospital director, spoke at the open forum on “Diabetes Education in Low and Middle Income Countries”
which he analyzed the importance, the history, the problems, and the opportunities to improve for better diabetes care.

Prof.Rajata also chaired a seminar session on “Qualification and Certification of Diabetes Educators” where story of Theptarin’s contribution
to the development of diabetes educators in Thailand was a part of the presentation by Prof.Sirimon Reutrakul, MD, Chair of Academic Affair,
Thai Diabetes Educators Association.
